About the Presenters
 
Dr. Sarah Gordon has a BSc (hons) in Earth Sciences from the University of Glasgow, UK, and a PhD from Imperial College London, UK. She also has qualifications in risk management and health and safety, and is an accredited trainer with the Institute of Risk Management. Dr. Gordon founded the risk management company, Satarla Ltd, in 2014. Satarla enables practical and accessible risk management techniques to be shared and tested across sectors, building a portfolio of best practice and expertise. Dr. Grodon was also voted as being one of the top 10 inspirational women in mining in 2016.
 
Ollie de Boer is an enterprise risk and project management professional who helps organisations improve their approach to managing risk. Born and educated in the UK, he has a Master's degree in Criminology from the London School of Economics, UK, and a Bachelor's degree in Social Science from the University of Bath, UK. He works as a Satarla associate, specialising in sourcing and implementing software for clients that improves decision-making.
 
Craig Rice is a doctoral candidate at the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering at the University of British Columbia, Canada. His doctoral research is focused on developing methods of adaptive risk management for mining capital projects. Craig is also the owner and principal consultant of Redteam Projects Inc, a consulting firm that offers services in the areas of project controls, risk management, and project analysis in the mining industry.
